Jennifer, born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, completed her undergraduate studies in 1997 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. After working in residential property management for four years, she attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, earning her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 2004. During law school, Jennifer was a member of The Law Review, and worked as a research assistant for Professor Ralph Ruebner, known nation-wide as a leading author and expert in the areas of evidence and criminal procedure.
After a brief career as a criminal prosecutor, Jennifer opened her own firm focusing on criminal, traffic and DUI defense. With over 17 years of experience, Jennifer has recently expanded and re-branded her practice to focus on residential real estate transactions. “I used to do a lot of family law, but it really takes a toll on you.”, says Jennifer. “I never really set out to be a “transactional” attorney, but as I did more real estate work, I found it to be so fulfilling. You are working together with a team of professionals and your clients towards a common goal: to close a deal, which is generally a happy experience. There’s nothing better than sitting at a closing table with someone who just bought their first home. It’s always an honor to be there for such a special moment.”
When she’s not helping clients with their legal issues, Jennifer spends her time doing endless renovations on her home, gardening, traveling, and hanging out with her 4-legged “monsters”, Matrix and Nahla.
